...GT2 for Playstation report: ...lot's of variety for cars and "good" feel, but pixelly graphics... ...graphics are better in replay mode... but we want to see that IN THE PLAY mode... ...if you play it = play it on the small TV or sit way back... too many dots... day 1: ... it feels good but it's lacks the kind of freedom of the movement (you have to stick to the track) and graphics quality that PS2 games have ...(such as ATV off road furry - so far this would be the No 1 pick for PS2 simulations) ...still trying to figure it out little things... such as how to turn the vibration off in the control paddles ...[d] is coming over soon, so we can crack the codes... [m] your attendence would be appreciated as well!! ...more reports to follow after the long weekend

hey [j]! how's eu? happy to see you have joined us! I have made a little tut for putting links in your blog - maybe you'd like to take a look. while I'm talking about the site, i'd like to point out that [d] & me are working on a new layout/design of the site - the reason the blog is still sort of not integrated with the site itself. we hope we'll get it done by the next week or so. keep you posted.
I put [d]'s post here for future reference. hope it helps. I use ie5 on MacOS 9.1, and I haven't had any problems of this kind with it... yet.
UPDATING YOUR MSXML.DLL TO MSXML v4.0 SHOULD SOLVE THE PROBLEM
Components: I'm running IE 5 on Win 2000. Problem: Got the message msxml3.dll error '80070057' about five times today. Question: I thought first id ask: Does anyone know what causes this error ? Is it only on Win 2000 ? The Fix: Download MSXML v4.0 from http://xmlwriter.net/msxml.shtml * and run - this will install MSXML v4.0 in the proper dirs. Download xmlsinst.exe from http://xmlwriter.net/msxml.shtml * copy to \WINNT\system32 and run it. * this will activate your new MSXML 4.0 It worked for me. It should work for you. Let me know how it goes. [d] posted also on Blogger - Discuss http://www.blogger.com/discuss/d.pyrat=703031&c=486045&ap=last
Music industry gets burned in Canada and in US.
After shuting down Napster - RIAA, CRIA ( Canadiana Record Association) and the music industry in North America face drastic losses in what is called 'burn and return'. In March 2001 CD sales were down 19 % from same period last year. (Toronto Star)

thnx [v], but i don't intend to double my car's value!;] plus, i would need new speakers, wiring, etc., etc., etc., so i think the avc player w/ a car adapter will do for now...
when i'll get this, i'll definetly get a mp3 player for it!
[m] keep in mind that if you are getting a car stereo... our local "future shop" carry two models of in-car mp3/CD combo's...
so you might find that as a good alternative. Sony deck has 50Wx4 so you don't need no amps or other add ons... [v]
What happened to mindisc data ? We all know that ZIP was not the best. Most likely MD's faded as an alternative for storage because of the high price of the device. Hurting the MD was also the data speed transfer - at 150kb/s, a low number for the price. MD Data was a device that came in to the market too late, offering too little and for a high price. Here are the words:
Storage device wars (1995) The impact that Imoga's Zip drives are having on the whole storage device market was very apparent -- they have single handedly caused the whole price structure of all storage devices to tumble, to the benefit of consumers. SyQuest has reacted to this competition by the introduction of their EZ135 3.5 inch cartridge drive (135 megs at (C)$25.00 per cartridge) for (C)$270.00 which was being demonstrated at the show, but wasn't quite shipping yet. Not to be outdone by SyQuest, Imoga were touting their soon-to-be-released (realistically, anticipate a January, 1996, release date) 1 GB Jazz drive for less then (C)$600.00. Remember when a 40 MB drive cost (C)$600.00? While not quite in the same price structure and technology class, Sony were showing their new MDH-10 Portable drives based on their MiniDisc audio technology. These drives have the same footprint as a Walkman and can store 140 MB of data on each rewriteable 2.5 inch diskette -- price is tentatively set at (C)$900.00 for the drive; price for the storage media was not available at press time. Here is one of the best sites to get educated about MINIDISC. Also on minidisc.org, an intersting article on the ARTAC encoding format and Psychoacoustics.
so i finally got my shitty stereo to work in the car. and then i went to see [d] and was impressed by how clear that minidisc player sounds through my carstereo! now i am thinking of getting one of those, although a mp3 cd player, like the avc player, would be better, i think. sugestions, anyone? F1 Racing :
After a dramatic race on the A1-Ring, David Coulthard/McLaren wins in front of Barrichello /Ferarri, who in the last corner moves away and let's Schumacher take seccond position for the points. Jos Verstapen from the Arrows team was in the seccond place for the first 20 laps of the race... and settling for 6-th, the best performace for AsiaTech team yet. More reacing in two weeks from Monaco, Monaco. Hopefully the crew will get to see live the Canadian GP on June 10-th.
