Stephen Hawking, the world's best known physicist has
told a German magazine that we should start thinking about genetically modifying humans to allow them to stay more intelligent than computers. He says that he fears computers will advance so quickly that soon there will be artificial intelligence that could rule the world. He wants to see GM people with more complex DNA and says "We should follow this road if we want biological systems to remain superior to electronic ones." However he admits the time for it is a long way off.

[jm] and i were discussing this a few months ago, i see all you base as modern art. It swept through helsinki in around May or so, stayed for a while, then people got bored of it and it left.
