re: _project nears an end...
the summer season is coming to a close, and with
it a chapter of _project -> summer edition.

communication discussion, city recipes, posting parties, mr. man...
its been fun. Sept. 30th will be the date we've set for dividing the
summer information, since Oct. 1st we'll be starting the winter
edition of _project, a continuation of where we are now.

suggestions are open for conclusions to our summer _project.
what touched you and how?

we've got a few products which will also be included. There's
been several themes that we've been working on that could
be worked out as chapters. And indeed something on our
relationships with HKI/HEL and Toronto.

idgrid touchpoint
i just received a message from an old friend waaay back
from the west coast of canada who had a look at the idgrid
and sent me a message through the contact link.
this a small piece of his writing mastery:

And I think of the woman I love, farming organic produce,
and working hard outside, and stewarding such beautiful
vegetables, the shapes and curves and colours of which
cannot be looked at without stirring joy. And she works to
grow these, helps them recieve what they need, and reaps
their joys. ANd she creates.

The black prince tomato, the banana potato, the aubergine,
the fresh picked basil oils staining fingertips, the savoy
cabbage, and the sunflower reaching high.

_project nears end...
So, soon it is the end of September and we should begin compiling all that has gone on before.
Of course we aren't finished yet. Mr. Man is still out there. Mail is still undelivered.
I guess we should focus on what we still want to investigate in the context of postcards and mail as a link between Helsinki and Toronto. I desperately need to discuss this to get my ideas in ordnung.
What now? Where are we?

What's the abbreviation of Toronto? Helsinki is HKI, but Helsinki's airport code is HEL.

re: sms-messages
this refers to waaaaay back to when idgrid-blogging was in its early stages - when was that? - but in the last couple of weeks I've been without sms-messages and other mobile phone perks that come from having a screen on the phone. my mobile's screen was broken when it fell on the floor of a bar - I can only see one fourth of the screen and barely at that. even that visible section is beginning to fade out. usually i can see who sent me a message, and I can find numbers already in my phone directory with luck.
but it's boring to be without sms. and when i get a msg it's so disappointing: someone's tried to reach me, but with no success.

no big point, just related to what we talked about earlier...

our cities
well, we had no one participating from new york, but if we had had someone ending new york in postcards the image of their hometown would probably be somewhat different than when we began.
and my friend who moved from bogota back to Finland said that you can only send postcards to colombia, everything else gets stuck on the border. all packages, letters, anything that can include anything (money is what they look for). so that would be an additional challenge for our postcard_project if someone from Bogota were participating.

privacy
well, if that was a question [d]-boy, then this is an answer:
It is important to have the choice what is private and what is not. If you don't have the choice your free will is be constrained directly effecting your actions. Without a right to privacy you lose your freedom.

it has always been eerie to see weird-looking planes flying low, but especially now; just while writing about privacy I saw an old DC-3 and a Cessna flying really low and really close to each other.
