As mentioned on the news pages Shift was cancelled. I wasn't even able to get the magazine regularily when it was being published, since it wasn't distributed to Finland, but I really think it's a shame.
Good magazine, one of the few to tackle topics around the internet and all that electronic stuff with an eye to the people behind the technology - both making the stuff and using it. If Wired asks the question 'how does it work', Shift asks 'why was it made'.

The online editor Mark Moyes writes the following in Shift.com's newsletter: "But for those of you who wrote in to say you loved Shift, I'm asking you to get involved. Shift.com's got to grow to survive -- it needs to become vibrant and alive, a place where people talk about events, music, movies, technology, Canadian culture, ideas, anything and everything that interests us. It needs to become a community."
